November 2010

A neighbour with a long history in Triumph motorcycles built a race bike for his son to campaign. They had a few electrical issues to sort so asked if I could assist.

I thought it looked like a suitable candidate for treatment.

I can no longer remember how much work I undertook on this bike, but it appears it was in my care for about a week.

I have seen many "cafe racers" whose style was far from my liking, but this bike looked very functional and well balanced.

Not to say "purposeful..".

Obviously a race bike has to be compliant as well, so there are necessities that simply cannot be aesthetic.

I enjoyed working on this bike. I have no idea how it performed on the track.
